You mention the figures found in the pagan temple in ‘Ein Dara’ — with human bodies and non-human heads, that sound so much like the creatures described by Ezekiel. At the moment I am teaching a class (“Israel and the Ancient Near East”) at the University of [X], and I would love to show a picture of these creatures to my students. Would you have, or know where I could find one?
I cited the article in Biblical Archaeologist about the excavation — I know there were photographs, but I don’t remember offhand if the pictures included the figures in question. The connection to Ezekiel’s creatures was proposed by Prof. Avigdor (Victor) Horowitz of Ben Gurion University of the Negev (in Israel), alas, recently deceased.
